Stay Protected, Stay in School
School Vaccines in New York State: A Healthier Future for All Students
In New York State, all children attending public, private, or religious schools, as well as day care and pre-K programs, must be up to date on all required vaccinations. This policy ensures a safe and healthy environment for everyone, with medical exemptions as the only allowable exception. Parents must provide proof of vaccination within 14 days of the school year starting to ensure their child remains in class. From DTaP to Meningococcal vaccines, ensure your child is protected and ready for a healthy school year! For more information on vaccine requirements and exemptions, visit your local health department’s resources.
